Haryana govt notifies Jan 28 of poll for bye election- in Jind as public holiday

Chandigarh, Jan 22 (UNI) Haryana Government on Tuesday notified that January 28, 2019 (Monday), the day of Poll for the Bye-election in Jind Assembly Constituency would be observed as public holiday in all the State Government offices, Boards, Corporations and educational institutions and in various factories, commercial establishments, shops etc. located in the areas of poll, under Section 25 of Negotiable Instrument Act, 1881.
While stating this here on Tuesday, an official spokesman said that it has also been notified that January 28, 2019 would be observed as paid holiday in respect of those employees of State Government and employees of factories, shops and commercial establishments of Haryana, who are registered voters of Jind Assembly Constituency, so as to enable these employees to cast their vote.
