Haryana frames parking policy

Chandigarh, Mar 15 (UNI) Haryana government has framed a Parking Policy to avoid unauthorised parking on roads.
This was informed by Urban Local Bodies Minister Kavita Jain while replying to a question on the concluding day of Vidhan Sabha here on Thursday. She said that a policy had already been notified on March 8, 2017 for use of vacant plots as temporary parking lots which was applicable in all municipal areas of the state to avoid unauthorised parking on roads.
Apart from this, the Municipal Corporation, Gurugram has identified three locations for multi-level parking at Kaman Sarai, Hidayatpur Chawani and Sikanderpur Ghosi.
Minister of State for Food, Civil Supplies and Consumer Affairs Karan Dev Kamboj said that the department has introduced Aadhaar based biometric system for the distribution of ration to the poor families in the state.
He said that the department has also implemented End to End computerisation of TPDS operations. Digitization of Public Distribution System beneficiaries and other databases, setting up of transparency portal, grievances redressal system, toll free helpline, online allocation, supply chain management and installation of Point of Sale devices at Fair Price Shops (FPS) has been completed.
He said that the ration was being distributed to beneficiaries after Aadhaar based biometric authentication at all FPS. Facilities of Aadhaar Seeding at FPS, Short Message Services (SMS) alert, portability, best finger detection and nomination has also been provided, he added.

HP govt to set up cow shelters in 11 districts
