Haryana farmers start dharna, demand Rs 2 cr per acre compensation for acquisition of Land

Kaithal, Aug 7 (UNI) The farmers of dozens of villages of Kaithal district, whose lands had been acquired for construction of National Highway 152-D from Narnaul to Gangehri near Ismalabad in Kurukshetra district, started a dharna in Kaul village on Wednesday, to press their demand for payment of adequate compensation for their acquired lands.
Rajinder Arya Dadupur, state president of Rashtriya Kisan Majdoo Sangthan, said that farmers of Salimpur Mamood, Pabnawa, Chandlana, Kaul, Sangroli Faral, Kheri Matrwa, Duliani Mohna, Jamba, Hajwana, Barsna Karoa Pundri and other villages participated in the Dharna.
Mr Arya said the process for acquisition of 739 acre land of 16 villages, was on.
