Haryana emerges as top state in energy efficiency in building sector in India as per SEEI-2020

Chandigarh, Nov 17 (UNI) Haryana has emerged as a top state in energy efficiency in the building sector in India as per the 'State Energy Efficiency Index (SEEI), 2020' released by the Union Ministry of Power with a score of 22 out of 30, which has been appreciated at the national level.
Giving this information on Wednesday, Additional Chief Secretary (Power) P K Das said that Karnataka, Punjab, Maharashtra, Andhra Pradesh and Rajasthan are among the best performers in the field of energy efficiency.
He said that as a result of continuous efforts made by HAREDA in collaboration with Bureau of Energy Efficiency, massive progress has been made in energy saving in Haryana. He informed that Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar has laid emphasis on energy conservation and energy efficiency across all sectors of power users in Haryana.
