Haryana developing new Aadhar-based system for aged: CM

Chandigarh, Nov 8 (UNI) Haryana government is developing a new Aadhar based system to make it easy for the elderly persons to get themselves enrolled for social security pension without visiting government offices to apply for the same.
Stating this while addressing a public meeting at Chaudhriwas village in Hisar district today, Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar said those who have been issued Aadhaar cards, now need not apply to get the ‘old age allowance’ as they would automatically start receiving it in their bank accounts upon attaining the age of 60 years. He also announced development projects to the tune of about Rs 195 crore for the Nalwa assembly constituency.
He said that while several irregularities were being committed in implementation of social security pension schemes during the previous governments, the present state government decided to disburse the pension directly into the bank accounts of the beneficiaries, which was opposed by the middlemen. After the service was made online, 1.5 lakh such cases came to light wherein pension was being claimed wrongfully. He urged the people to get their Aadhaar enrolment done.
