Haryana among top 5 states to complete preparation for implementing GST

Chandigarh, Dec 2 (UNI) Haryana is among the first five states of the country, who have completed preparation for implementing the Goods and Services Tax (GST) from April 1, 2017, Haryana Finance and Excise & Taxation Minister Capt Abhimanyu said today.
Interacting with the media, after presiding over a meeting with the representatives of Sales Tax Bar Association in New Delhi, Capt Abhimanyu said that under the able leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Union Finance Minster Arun Jaitley, a revolutionary campaign has been started to bring about financial improvements in the country.
He said that GST is a revolutionary initiative towards executing a common tax system for the country and simplification of tax system between the Centre and the States. The demonetisation of currency notes of Rs 500 and 1000 has helped in putting a check on black money and fake currency, he added.
