Sangareddy (Telangana), June 7 (UNI) Telangana Finance Minister, Harish Rao, reiterated the government's unwavering dedication to uplifting the poor and farmers, with agriculture remaining
a top priority under the guidance of Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao.
During the foundation stone laying ceremony for the Sangameshwara Lift Irrigation Project in Chinna Chalmeda, Munipalli Mandal in this district on Wednesday, the Minister expressed his optimism regarding the timely completion of the project.
He emphasized that once finished, the Sangameshwara upliftment scheme would bring about a remarkable transformation, turning Sangareddy district into a flourishing and eco-friendly area.
Rao also assured the farmers who had contributed their land to the project that their interests would be safeguarded and protected.
Further, he announced that the Sangameshwara Lift Irrigation Project would be completed within two years, providing crucial irrigation to farmers. He attributed the realization of this significant project to the formation of Telangana and Chief Minister KCR's leadership.
Regarding funding, Minister Rao disclosed that the government had allocated Rs. 2,653 crores for
the construction of the Sangameshwara Lift Irrigation Project, aiming to provide irrigation to 19 lakh acres. Additionally, the government had allocated 12 TMC from Kaleshwaram for the lift irrigation project.
Rao reaffirmed the government's commitment to the welfare of the poor and farmers, emphasizing that agriculture would remain a top priority under Chief Minister KCR's leadership.
