Hamirpur's Balaknath temple to open doors for women

Hamirpur, Apr 14 (UNI) Taking a cue from a recent order of Court allowing women to have darshan of the Lord Shani temple at Shingnapur in Maharashtra, the local district administration is today reported to have decided to allow women to offer puja at the cave of Baba Balaknath at his Deotsidh temple in the Hamirpur district.
Earlier, there was bar on the women to visit the cave and they used to offer puja from a platform erected away from the cave, parallel to it.
The new order is yet too for made public but authorities said, "there is no bar from their side for the women to go near the cave first time since fifth century when the temple had come into being."
