Hamirpur (HP), Jan 20 (UNI) Womenfolk continue to hold firm and complete grip over the Panchayati raj elections in the district as they continued to dominate the second phase of the election too with as many as 52,030 women casting their votes against 44,470 men.
In the first phase elections also the women had taken a commanding lead and had outclassed the men.
If the figures of both the phases are taken into consideration it is presumed that as against 46.55 per cent voting by the men, the women share was 53.45 pc.
