Hamirpur DM fixes profit, limit of onion storage

Hamirpur, Dec 12 (UNI) Hamirpur District Magistrate Harikesh Meena, through an ordinance, has fixed the maximum limit of storage and profit for sale and retail of onion in the district.
As per order, no one would be able to keep more than twenty kilograms onion in retail and charge only 24 pc margin of profit. It would be five percent in case of wholesale dealers. In both cases, all sorts of expenses including loading, unloading and freight would be including the maximum margins of profit fixed.
He has clarified that whole-sellers had to issue cash memos to the retailers for the sale of the onions.
Those selling the onion on higher price would be dealt with under the law of land.
