Hamirpur DC reviews HRTC bus safety arrangements

Hamirpur (HP), Jun 4 (UNI) Hamirpur Deputy Commissioner Harikesh Meena on Thursday morning visited a local bus stand and advised passengers to take adequate precautions during their journey in buses so as to save them from the wrath of dreaded Corona virus.

He reviewed the working of the HRTC from its officers and inquired about the arrangements made for the convenience of passengers there.

The officers of the Himachal Road Transport Corporation were instructed to continuously make the passengers aware of the standards and cleanliness of the distance within the premises of the bus stand.

During the journey, passangers were also asked to ensure compliance with certain distance standards, wearing of face masks and all other precautions.

He also inquired from the corporation and private bus drivers and operators about the precautions to be taken during the journey.

He instructed the officers of the corporation to ensure the details of the name and mobile number etc. of every person traveling in the buses.

He also inspected the shops located in the bus stand premises and asked the traders to maintain a certain distance and strictly follow all the precautionary measures for personal hygiene etc.

He urged all people to use all precautions to prevent the spread of corona virus infection while using public transport services adding that all people should remain vigilant so that the chances of spreading the infection can be completely eliminated.

COVID: J&K reports fresh 357 positive cases
