Guwahati ready to kick off FIFA Group E matches

Guwahati, Oct 7 (UNI) The stage is set for Group E matches of FIFA U17 World Cup 2017 to kick off at Guwahati tomorrow.
The local organising committee here said all preparations have been completed for the opening group ties tomorrow.
France will take on New Caledonia in the first match tomorrow afternoon, while Honduras will take on Japan later in the evening.
The organisers expect a 23,000 capacity crowd in the Indira Gandhi Athletic Stadium in the Sarusajai Sports Complex in the city.
The teams have already arrived in the city and have been practising at the designated fields.
The sweltering heat during day time and rain and storm in the evening are, however, proving to be a cause of concern for the players, fans and organisers.
Guwahati, among the six host cities, will see nine matches being played here, including the first quarter final and first semi final.
