Guv's rescue operation to evacuate Babul Supriyo from JU campus taken after exhausting all norms: Raj Bhawan

Kolkata, Sep 20 (UNI) West Bengal Governor Jagdeep Dhankar's visit to the Jadavpur University and rescuing beleaguered Babul Supriyo from agitating students in the campus happened after he exhausted all possible efforts to evacuate the Union minister.
A statement from Raj Bhavan today said the Governor, also the Chancellor, Jadavpur University, has expressed his relief that his visit yesterday to the campus brought to end an unwholesome situation.
His visit was rendered imperative as the Vice-Chancellor ( Suranjan Das) and the pro-Vice Chancellor ( Pradip Kumar Ghosh ) had left the University while the Minister continued to be detained by the agitating students/persons there.
