Guv launches OBPAS for citizens of Chandigarh

Chandigarh, Oct 8 (UNI) Mr V. P. Singh Badnore, Governor of Punjab and Administrator, U.T. Chandigarh Thursday launched the Online Building Plan Approval System (OBPAS) for the citizens of Chandigarh
While sharing information about the system, Mr K.K. Yadav, IAS, Commissioner briefed that with reference to the project “Implementation of E Governance Services in Chandigarh”, there are 29 Municipal services out of which 15 are citizen centric and 14 are related to MCC for smooth working of MCC. Important citizen related services includes Online Building Plan Approval System (OBPAS), Online Grievance Complaint Services, Water Supply and Sewerage Connections, Booking of Banquet Hall/Community Centers, Property tax etc. Main Internal Services includes Financial Management, Works Management, Apni Mandy& Day Market Branch etc.
He said the main objectives of this project are to facilitate the citizens by providing online delivery of services, to minimize manual intervention, faster application submission, tracking, monitoring, 24x7 access to online citizen services, timely resolution of issues, increased transparency.
