GUV Ganga Prasad urges people to donate Organs for saving lives

Gangtok, Aug 14 (UNI) Sikkim Governor Ganga Prasad having pledged long ago to donate his body to Dadhichi Dehdan Samiti, Patna Bihar, after death, has urged people to do the same.
Speaking to a gathering of Raj Bhawan employees on Thursday ,the World Organ Donation Day, he said, ‘Due to lack of awareness on organ donation, there is a huge gap between organ donors and needy people. We must pledge ourselves and motivate others for the noble cause to save life of others.’ Chief Secretary to Raj Bhawan SD Negi also joined the programme.
Governor Prasad has been associated with Dehdan Samiti since long. He also participated in a video conference with executive members of Dehdan committee conference was also joined by Bihar Deputy Chief Minister Sushil Modi.
The WOD Day is observed yearly on 13th August.
