Guv, CM condole death of Dr Jagannath Mishra, govt announces three-day state mourning

Patna, Aug 18 (UNI) Bihar governor Fagu Chauhan and Chief Minister Nitish Kumar today expressed their deep grief over the demise of former state chief minister Dr Jagannath Mishra.
A three-day state mourning to mourn the demise of the veteran politician and academician has been declared by the state government.

Mr Chaunhan in his condolence message said Dr Mishra was an able administrator, sensitive politician and learned teacher of economics. He said Dr Mishra had served state and nation as chief minister for three times and also as Union minister.
The governor said that the political field of country, particularly Bihar, suffered an irreparable loss due to demise of Dr Mishra. He also prayed for eternal peace to the departed soul and adequate strength to Dr Mishra`s family members and admirers to withstand the loss.

Chief Minister Mr Kumar in his condolence message said DR Mishra was a popular politician and teacher. He said Dr Mishra contribution to the political field of Bihar as well as also that of entire country was invaluable. He said political, social and educational fields of not only Bihar but also whole nation had suffered an irreparable loss due to the death of Dr Mishra.

Mr Kumar prayed for eternal peace to the departed soul and adequate strength to Dr Mishra`s family members and admirers to withstand the loss.
His last rites would be performed with full state honours.
