Guv asks police department to create favourable working environment for women personnel

Ranchi, Nov 20 (UNI) Jharkhand Governor Draupadi Murmu today stressed on the need for creating a favourable environment for the women personnel in the police department.
Addressing the second day of the 8th nation women police meet here, she said that when the police women would be living in the environment of fear than they would be not feeling comfortable in providing security to others. She said that women in the police have made a special identity for themselves on the basis of their talent and capabilities and in the days to come their numbers would increase in the police and most probably their participation would be atleast 50 per cent.
She said that it is the purpouse of the workshop also to deliberate that on one hand the women police are able to fulfill their duties but are they able to fulfill their family responsibilities and playing the roles of the mother daughter etc. She hoped that the forum will also discuss these problems and come out with solutions so that they too can dispense their responsibilities with dedication.
