Gutka worth Rs 24 lakh seized from tempo in Palghar, 1 held

Palghar, Aug 22 (UNI) The Rural Police have seized banned gutka worth around Rs 24 lakh from a tempo at Acchad and arrested one person in connection with the same.
A team of the Talasari police apprehended the tempo near Acchad check post and seized the gutka from it on Wednesday.
The seized packets of different brands of gutka, banned in Maharashtra, included Rajnighandha, Bhola Yellow, Paan Vilas, Miraz, Ratna Premium, Rajashri, Black Label-18, Black label-2, Tulsi and Rajashri Premium, in addition to this, apparels worth Rs 1.52 lakh and the tempo worth Rs 18 lakh had also been seized, taking the value of total seizure to Rs 43.23 lakh, police said.
