Guidelines issued for local body polls

Thiruvananthapuram, Oct 21 (UNI) The State Election Commission on Wednesday issued guidelines in connection with the conduct of local body elections citing COVID pandemic.
As per the strict COVID protocol, only three vehicles can be used for roadshows and three people will be allowed during the filing of nomination papers.
It also said social media can be used more for election campaigning. Candidates should not accept garlands, bouquets and other items from the public.
