GSI organizes workshop on “Harnessing Geoscience Data for Public Good"

Hyderabad, Feb 28 (UNI) The Geological Survey of India (GSI), State Unit: Telangana, Southern Region, Hyderabad, organized a one-day workshop at the Dr. MCRHRD Institute here on Wednesday, focusing on the utility of NGCM and other geoscience data available in the National Geoscience Data Repository (NGDR) portal and emerging technologies.
The workshop, conducted under the core theme "Unlocking the Potential of Geoscience Data for Public Good," aimed to showcase the extensive data generated by GSI and disseminate information about the availability of data in the NGDR portal.
The main objective of the workshop was to highlight the vast amount of data available in the NGDR portal, enabling stakeholders to utilize the information in various fields such as mineral exploration, agriculture, health hazards, and environmental management.
