GRP IG finds shortcoming in security measures at Ambala Cantt railway station

Ambala, Jan 6 (UNI) Government Railways Police (GRP) Inspector General Paramjit Ahlawat during his surprise visit to the Ambala Cantonment railway station found to his surprise that the GRP jawans were ill equipped with broken rifles, torn bullet proof jackets and wore lose uniforms.
The IG had visited the station to know the measures taken by the GRP and other railway security force after the alert was sounded in the wake of terrorists attack on the Pathankot Airbase.
Mr Ahlawat went round the station and found some shortcomings in the security measures. He had found the broken helmets, rifles and unsafe bullet proof jackets.
