Govts that tried banning RSS were rejected: Vijayendra

Bengaluru, Jun 9 (UNI) Karnataka BJP President Vijayendra Yediyurappa on Tuesday claimed that governments which attempted to ban the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) were ultimately rejected by the people, using the assertion to launch a fresh attack on Karnataka Minister Priyank Kharge over his criticism of the organisation.
In a strongly worded post on social media platform X, Vijayendra said history had shown that political regimes targeting the RSS failed to gain public acceptance, while the organisation continued to grow and strengthen its presence across the country.
"Governments have come and gone. Many governments that attempted to ban the RSS were ultimately rejected by the people, while the RSS has continued to stand firm in its mission," he said.
