Govt(s) violate people's right to water: Rajendra Singh

New Delhi, Sep 13 (UNI) Renowned water activist Dr Rajendra Singh has strongly opposed "violation of the people's right to water" by major corporate entities and governments in various countries and cautioned the world against threat of severe crisis and unrest.
Delivering his address at the UN Human Rights Council and it's NGO forum in Geneva on Wednesday,
Mr Singh, popularly known as the "Waterman of India", said the UNO has recognised water as one of the fundamental human rights but governments had been violating this by their pro privatisation policies and delegation of the ownership of this life giver natural resource to corporate companies for commercial purposes.
