Govt mulling to open up more routes in inland waters: Minister

Panaji, May 26 (UNI) Goa Minister for River Navigation Subhash Phaldesai on Thursday said that the government was mulling to open up more routes in inland waters to reduce traffic on roads.
The department is working on reducing sound pollution and other issues on roads, including the congestion, Phaldesai told reporters at Margao in South Goa.
He also said a plan was afoot to run ferry boats on solar power replacing vessels which are run on diesel.
