Govt introduces MADS to benefit farmers in Telangana: Minister

Hyderabad, Sep 15 (UNI) Telangana Animal Husbandry Minister Talasani Srinivas Yadav informed the Assembly on Tuesday that the government has introduced Milch Animal Distribution Scheme (MADS) to benefit farmers in the state.
Replying to a question raised by members in the house during the question hour, the Minister said as part of dairy development and strengthening the Rural economy in the state, the government has introduced MADS for the benefit of 2.13 lakh farmers.
Under the scheme, Scheduled Caste (SC) and Scheduled Tribes (ST) farmers would get 75 per cent subsidy and 50 per cent subsidy for Backward Class and others.
