Govt hatching conspiracy to do away with laws for benefit of SC/ST community: Cong

New Delhi, Mar 21 (UNI) Terming the BJP and the RSS of being gripped with a mindset to weaken laws designed for the benefit of the Scheduled castes and Scheduled tribes, the Congress on Wednesday said this government was not only trying to dilute but also dissolve laws to provide protection to the rights of these sections.
Addressing a joint press conference here, AICC media incharge Randeep Surjewala, AICC senior spokesperson Anand Sharma, AICC spokesperson Jyotiraditya Scindia and senior leaders Ahmed Patel, Raj Babbar and Kumari Selja said the order passed by the Supreme Court on Tuesday had struck a blow to the rights of SC and ST sections.
''The government should file a review petition in this regard in the court or amend the law,'' the Congress leaders said.
