Govt for high-level inquiry into flight disruptions due to FDTL

New Delhi, Dec 5 (UNI) Announcing the government decision to place in abeyance the Flight Duty Time Limitations (FDTL) rules with immediate effect, union Civil Aviation Minister Rammohan Naidu has ordered a high level inquiry into the deadlock caused by the new FDTL notification with unprecedented adverse impact on IndiGo.
Over 700 schedules of IndiGo got cancelled in the last few days throwing the entire air travel in the country into doldrums.
"The Government of India has decided to institute a high-level inquiry into this disruption. The inquiry will examine what went wrong at Indigo, determine accountability wherever required for appropriate actions, and recommend measures to prevent similar disruptions in the future, ensuring that passengers do not face such hardships again,” Naidu said in a statement.
