Govt figure on COVID-19 final, Meghalaya Deputy CM

Shillong, Jul 14 (UNI) In the backdrop of recent confusion regarding the number of COVID-19 cases in Meghalaya, which have been emerging on a daily basis, Deputy Chief Minister Prestone Tynsong on Tuesday asserted that the government word was final on the issue.
In the past 24 hours the active cases reduced by one, although there were three new active cases reported as of Tuesday. The number of people recovering from the viral infections and death stands at 46 and two respectively.
However, this error and subsequent correction was due to duplication of numbers, Tynsong said.
