Govt establishing Textile Parks in big way in Telangana : Minister

Hyderabad, Sep 20 (UNI) Telangana Industry and Textile Minister K T Rama Rao informed the Assembly on Friday that the government is establishing Textile Parks in a big way to promote Textile Industry in the state.

Replying to questions from members in the house during question hour, Mr Rao said that the state government was also implementing several welfare and developmental schemes for handloom, powerloom weavers and allied workers in the Textile Industry.

In order to promote and build upon the state’s strong textile base through Integrated value chain approach and to attract investors in Textile Industry, the government is offering various incentives, benefits to the eligible Industrial entrepreneurs through Telangana-Textile and Apparel Policy (T-TAP), the Minister said.

Basic infrastructure like approach roads, internal roads, arterial rod works are initiated and will be completed shortly, Mr Rao said 33/11 KV Electrical Sub-Station has been established.
Mission Bhagiratha Authority was in the process of supplying water connection to the Kakatiya Mega Textile Park. Road over Bridge (RoB) works was being taken up by Roads and Buildings Department, he said.

He said that direct and indirect employment of about 1.13 lakh would be generated after full implementation of the project.

Stating that 16 MoUs were inked with textile manufacturing companies to set up their manufacturing facility at the Kakatiya Mega Textile Park, Warangal, Mr Rao said the process of land allotment to interested companies/investors was being done.
