Govt ensures to rehabilitate landslide victims in Pettimudi: Kerala CM

Thiruvananthapuram/Idukki, Aug 13 (UNI) Even as the search for those missing in the Pettimudi tragedy continued for the seventh day, Kerala Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan on Thursday announced that the government will ensure the rehabilitation of the families affected by the natural calamity.
Earlier in the day, the Chief Minister along with Governor Arif Mohammad Khan reached Pettimudi and visited the Rajamala landslide disaster site at Munnar in Idukki district.
While congratulating everyone involved in the rescue efforts, the CM said “The search operations are still in progress and it is being carried out in the best possible way. When we look at the families of the victims, there are only a few survivors in some families and there are children also."
