Govt denies rights of employees, pensioners: Cheema

Chandigarh, Aug 17 (UNI) Aam Aadmi Party leader Harpal Singh Cheema on Saturday accused the state government of backtracking a large number of government employees and pensioners in the state by denying their genuine rights.
In a statement, Mr Cheema said that the government owed a whopping amount worth crores of rupees on account pending four installments due from January 2018.
He further added that it was ironical that the union government had been all set to implement 7th pay commission to its employees, the Captain Amarinder Singh government in the state was stuck at implementing the 5th pay commission for its employees, saying it had been dragging its feet on reviving the old pension scheme of 2004.
