Governor congratulates International Wushu medal winners from J&K

Srinagar, Sep 19 (UNI) Governor N N Vohra today congratulated two martial artists, who won medals at an International Wushu championship, from Jammu and Kashmir.
An official spokesperson said that Rajinder Singh and Surya Bhanu Partap Singh Chib, both of whom have won medals at international Wushu Championship, were received by Mr Vohra at the Raj Bhavan here today.
He said the Governor was briefed about the status of Wushu in J&K, the standard of the existing training facilities and the high potential of making the state a front runner in this sport if the sportspersons were provided the required support.
