Imphal, June 7 (UNI ) Governor of Manipur Anusuiya Uikey on Wednesday expressed shock over the killing of a BSF jawan and injuries to two Assam Rifles jawans in an encounter with Kuki militants.
While condemning the gruesome attack and dastardly act of the militants on Tuesday, the Governor declared that those involved in the attack would face dire consequences. She conveyed her condolence to the bereaved family and wishes to the injured jawans for speedy recovery.
Governor also interacted with K. Ranjit Singh MLA, whose house was burnt by Kuki militants. The MLA briefed her about the prevailing law and order situation in the State and stressed on appropriate steps to contain the violence and restore normalcy and peace.
