Governor attends 175th anniversary of Guwahati Baptist Church

Guwahati, Jan 24 (UNI) Assam Governor Prof. Jagdish Mukhi today said that the best way to serve the fellow human beings is by adherence to the salient principles of the lessons taught by Lord Jesus Christ.
Speaking at the 175th jubilee celebrations of Guwahati Baptist Church in the city here, Prof. Mukhi said the churches play the role of catalyst to spread the teachings of Jesus Christ to make the society ideal for everybody’s living.
He said, “It is a matter of great satisfaction that empowered by the teachings of Jesus Christ who was born as the Prince of Peace, Guwahati Baptist Church has been spreading the message of humbleness and courage to stand by the truth as the core human quality."
He also hailed the role of Guwahati Baptist Church in promoting equality to all human beings irrespective of religion, caste, ethnicity, gender, culture and languages.
The dedicated service provided by Guwahati Baptist Church to the most marginalized, hated, neglected section of people is really noteworthy, the Governor added.
