Government to step up anti-militancy operations in J&K

New Delhi, Nov 15 (UNI) After a high-level security review of the situation in the border state of Jammu and Kashmir, the Modi government on Wednesday decided to intensify anti-militancy operations in the Kashmir Valley.
Security forces have been asked to take strict action against militants and those found indulging in violence in the Valley.
The decision to step up anti-militancy operations was taken at a security review meeting here which was chaired by Union Home Minister Rajnath Singh and attended by Defence Minister Nirmala Sitharaman, National Security Advisor Ajit Doval, Intelligence Bureau chief Rajiv Jain and the Centre's Special Representative Dineshwar Sharma.
