New Delhi, Sep 22 (UNI) Congress on Tuesday said that the government has now come under pressure due to the farmer's displeasure over the passing of the farm sector bills and now to evade their anger has declared MSP for wheat in a hurry.
Addressing a joint press conference outside the Parilement at the Vijay Chowk along with COngress LS MP Dr Amar SIngh, Gurjeet Singh AUjla and Dr Amee Yajnik , party's chief spokesperson Randeep Surjewala said that the government is now scared of the farmers' movement.
'May be the government could not assess the intensity of the farmers movement before and brought such bills,' he said.
Due to the fear of the same, the government has announced the MSP for wheat tha too in a hurry. It is proven yet again that the agitation by farmers and allegation of destruction of farming on the government seems to be correct, 'Surjewala said.
Congress leaders alleged that now the Modi government is replacing the MSP system by abolishing the cost of crops, wages of farmer's family members, and also the rent of land.
He said that the BJP's conspiracy to abolish MSP has now been exposed and the promise of giving benefit to farmers by increasing the minimum support price of wheat by only 2.6 per cent also seems a 'jumla'.
Surjewala further said that government's three 'black' bills have taken-off the 'sabka sath sabka vikas' mask from its face.
Sharpening the attack on the BJP government, he alleged alleging that the main motive of the ruling dispensation is to promote the crony capitalists and demolish the farmers and their job.
