Gorkha’s demand BJP MP Dubey’s resignation over anti-Subba remarks

Guwahati, Dec 13 (UNI) The Bharatiya Gorkha Parisangha (BGP), a national federation of Indian Gorkhas, today demanded BJP president and Union Home Minister Amit Shah to expel the party’s three-time MP, Dr Nishikant Dubey, from Godda, Jharkhand, for calling former Congress MP late Mani Kumar Subba ‘a foreigner, a Nepali citizen and intruder’.
The BGP, in a statement here, vehemently condemned the statement as derogatory and unfortunate, an insult of Gorkhas in the Lok Sabha, and called on the Parliament to deliver justice.
Reacting to the statements, Nanda Kirati Dewan, National Secretary (Youth Affairs) of BGP, said, “Nishikant Dubey must be asked to resign by Amit Shah as the party president. He should apologise to the Gorkhas in the House and submit his resignation within a week. If BJP cannot take action, BGP’s 22 state units will write to Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla to expel Dubey for next three sessions as punishment for derogatory remarks on a Gorkha MP, which is an insult of 10.5 million Gorkhas of the country.”
