New Delhi, Jul 10 (UNI) Delhi Environment Minister Gopal Rai on Friday launched a massive 17-day campaign to plant 31 lakh plants, trees and shrubs across the national capital to reduce pollution.
Mr Rai launched the campaign, 'Plant Trees, Save Environment (podhe lagao prayavaran bachao)' at the ITO nursery.
"The citizens of Delhi, the government of Delhi and all the authorities are now fighting against the Covid-19 pandemic. We are witnessing that the rate of infection due to the COVID-19 virus is decreasing in Delhi. But at the same time, we need to keep in mind that every year the citizens of Delhi suffers from air pollution and the Delhi government is working tirelessly from the last few years to decrease the pollution level in Delhi," said Mr Rai.
