Good Governance Index not matching with ground realities: CPI(M)

Srinagar, Jan 22 (UNI) CPI(M) leader Mohamad Yousuf Tarigami on Saturday said that claims of good governance and development in J&K is “far removed from ground realities.”

He was reacting to the virtual release of District Good Governance Index (DGGI) for J&K by Union Home Minister Amit Shah on Saturday.

Three tourists drown in the Ganga

Dehradun, May 24 (UNI) Three tourists from Delhi were swept away by the strong current of the Ganga river in Uttarakhand's Rishikesh on Tuesday.
One body has been fished out while search for the other two was ongoing.

State Disaster Response Fund (SDRF) spokesperson Lalita Das Negi said that the team received information that three tourists, including two brothers, drowned in the river Ganga near the Shivpuri, ITBP camp.
