Gold biscuits worth Rs 98 lakh seized from passenger at Kannur Intl Airport

Kannur, Jul 10 (UNI) Customs sleuths on Wednesday seized 2.809 kg of gold biscuits valued about Rs 98 lakh from a passenger who arrived at Kannur International Airport from Doha in an Air India flight.
Customs officials led by Assistant Commissioner O Pradeep seized the gold and arrested the passenger M V Shabeeb (28) of Kunnamangalam in Kozhikode district, who arrived here in the morning.
The seized gold was kept hidden inside a suitcase, customs sources said.
