Godavari is in spate, road connectivity cut off to 19 villages in AP

Vijayawada, Aug 13 (UNI) The River Godavari flood water is rising and road connectivity has been cut off to 19 villages in West Godavari district.
The river is in spate and 19 tribal villages were cut-off from the outer world on Thursday. The Kothuru Causeway, the main route to visit 19 tribal villages in Polavaram mandal was inundated in 10 feet deep water of the Godavari river.
As there is heavy rain in the upstream of Polavaram Irrigation Project in Telangana District and Maharashtra caused heavy inflows to the River. The River water level recorded at 32.50 Feet at the famous pilgrim centre Bhadrachalam in Telanagana and the water flowing downstream to Polavaram Project Area.
