GOC 16 Corps flags off mountaineering expedition

Jammu, Aug 19 (UNI) General Officer Commanding 16 Corps Lt Gen A K Sharma today flagged off a Mountaineering Expedition to Mount Kang Yatse from Nagrota here.
The Mountaineering Expedition was timed to commemorate the 71st Independence Day and mark the impervious tenacity, unflinching resolve and the never say die spirit of the White Knight Corps.
Located in the daunting Zanskar Range, the peak is over 21000 feet in altitude and involves scaling of two peaks part of the same massif, Kang Yatse–I and II.
