Goa NCP chief Philip offers to speak to Praful Patel on penalties imposed on FC Goa, its owners

Panaji, May 7 (UNI) President of Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) in Goa, Josh Philip, today said he would speak to senior party leader and All India Football Federation chairman Praful Patel regarding the penalty imposed by the Indian Super League Disciplinary Committee on FC Goa and its co-owners Srinivas Dempo and Dattaraj Salgaocar.
Addressing a news conference at the party office here, he said, ’’I will speak to our leader Mr Patel and convey the feelings of the people of Goa. I will tell how the two people have helped football to grow in the state. If these two people will not come forward then I do not think we will be able to see football in Goa.
’’I will meet him personally and convey the feelings of the football lovers of the state. We will have to do something. We cannot sit quiet,’’ he said.
