Panaji, Feb 6 (UNI) One of the main challenges in the country and Goa is to find suitable employment and livelihood for the youth. To address this issue Government of Goa on Friday signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) on the Model Career Centre, Goa, in the presence of Chief Minister Pramod Sawant and Minister for Labour and Employment Jennifer Monserrate in the city.
Speaking on the occasion, Chief Minister Sawant congratulated CII for signing the MoU with Government and said MoU on the Model Career Centre, Goa, was to link youth of the state to employment. It would leverage CII’s industry to connect to aggregate jobs and facilitate the placement, he added.
The Chief Minister said, 'Government through this MOU plans to reach out to maximum number of career aspirants/citizens in Goa, with an aim to create more employment opportunities. I appeal to the youth to avail online services of the Government for employment purpose. With the online services, employees will be able to reach wider pool of job seekers and thereby find the best available candidate.'
