Goa Forward to sensitise people on 'anti-Goan' policies of BJP govt

Panaji, Oct 8 (UNI) The Goa Forward Party will move throughout the state to sensitise people about the 'anti-Goan' and 'anti-Goemkar' policies of the ruling Bharatiya Janata Party government and garner support for their movement of 'Goemkarpann' (Goa for and led by Goans).
Addressing a press conference in a city hotel after the meeting of state executive, chief spokesperson of the party Prashant Naik said, ''The state executive meeting has decided that as the custodians of Goa, Goemkar and Goemkarpann, Goa Forward has to lead the electoral battle to oust the present BJP-led coalition government from power. The onus is on Goa Forward as the BJP government is anti-Goan and anti-Goemkar.''
''Considering that the elections are almost round the corner and taking stock of the ground realities, and after an assessment of its strength, Goa Forward has decided to effectively focus on not less than 25 constituencies for 2017 elections whilst the prospecting will continue in 30 constituencies,'' he said, adding that Goa Forward was confident about support from Goans in a stand alone situation.
Mr Naik said the party would organise a yatra from Pernem in North Goa to Pollem in South Goa.
