Goa Dy CM pays tribute to Late Dayanand Bandodkar

Panaji, Aug 12 (UNI) Goa Deputy Chief Minister Manohar Azgaonkar along with the Minister for Revenue Jenifer Monserrate lead the people of the state to pay rich tribute to the first Chief Minister of Goa Late Dayanand alias Bhausaheb Bandodkar at a function organized at Samadhisthal Miramar on Monday.
Thereafter Mr Ajagaonkar along with Ms Monserrate garlanded the statues of Bhausaheb Bandodkar at Old Secretariat in the city and at Assembly Complex at Porvorim, near the city.
Secretary, Finance, Daulat Hawaldar, Mayor, Corporation of the City of Panaji (CCP) Uday Madkaikar, Goa Suraksha Manch (GSM) President Subhash Velingkar, Executive Engineer PWD, Div-I, Vasant Nachinolkar were among those who present on the occasion.

Pune, Apr 23 (UNI) Day temperatures were markedly above normal (5.1°C or more) at isolated places over Gangetic West Bengal and Odisha; appreciably above normal (3.1°C to 5.0°C) at isolated places over Bihar, Telangana, Kerala and Mahe and Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram and Tripura; above normal (1.6°C to 3.0°C) at most places over Assam and Meghalaya; at many places over Arunachal Pradesh; at a few places over Jharkhand, Tamil Nadu, Puducherry and Karaikal and coastal Andhra Pradesh and Yanam; at isolated places over Andaman and Nicobar Islands, east Uttar Pradesh and coastal Karnataka. These were appreciably below normal (-3.1°C to -5.0°C) at isolated places over Himachal Pradesh; below normal (-1.6°C to -3.0°C) at isolated places over Uttarakhand, west Madhya Pradesh, Gujarat state and near normal over rest parts of the country. Yesterday, the highest maximum temperature of 43.8°C was reported at Cuddapah (Rayalaseema) and Bhubaneshwar (Odisha) over the country.
