Goa Congress President sits on day-long-fast

Panaji, Nov 27 (UNI) Goa Pradesh Congress Committee (GPCC) President Girish Chodankar Tuesday observed a day-long-fast at Azad Maidan in the city, to show solidarity with RTI activist Rajan Ghate, who was on fast unto death for the last 11 days and shifted to Goa Medical College and Hospital on Monday.
Speaking to reporters, Mr Chodankar said though health of both, Chief Minister Manohar Parrikar as well as RTI activist Rajan Ghate, was important but the fact was that there was no governance for the last nine months.
''There should be a limit. There is no governance for the last nine months. Health of chief minister is important so is that of Mr Ghate. I have sat on fast with a request that both should give up their adamancy. The Chief Minister should make alternative arrangement and focus on his health,'' he said.
