Goa CM presents state budget for FY 2018-19

Panaji, Feb 22 (UNI) Goa Chief Minister Manohar Parrikar, who also holds finance portfolio, on Thursday presented the annual financial statement for the year 2018-19 before the Goa Legislative Assembly. The estimates of receipts and the demand of grants for the year 2018-19 were also tabled in the House.
The total gross budgetary expenditure was Rs 17,123.28 crore as against Rs 16,027.01 crore for the year 2017-18, representing an increase of 6.84 per cent over the last year.
The total estimated expenditure on Revenue Account was Rs 11795.40 crore while the expenditure on Capital Account was Rs 2216.25 crore. There is an increase in the allocation for capital account expenditure by 10.70 per cent as compared to the revised estimate for the last year, which stood at Rs 3808.72 crore.
