Panaji Dec 13 (UNI) Birthday wishes poured from various quarters for Goa Chief Minister Manohar Parrikar who turned 63 on Thursday.
Those who wished Mr Parrikar on his birthday included Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Union Finance Minister Arun Jaitley, Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis, among others.
The Goa unit of Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has organised blood donation camp at the party state headquarter in the city to celebrate the day. The party has been organising blood donation camp on the occasion of Mr Parrikar's birthday since 2006. However, Chief Minister is not attending the birthday celebration owing to his ill health. He has been diagnosed with advanced pancreatic cancer and is recuperating at his private residence at Dona Paula near the city after his return from All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS), New Delhi, in October this year. Besides the blood donation camp in the city, his birthday was being celebrated in other parts of the state as well.
