Goa CM holds review meeting of GTDC, takes stock of performace during last 5 years

Panaji, Oct 7 (UNI) Goa Chief Minister Manohar Parrikar on Saturday held a review meeting at his official residence in the city wherein he took stock of the performance of Goa Tourism Development Corporation (GTDC) during the last five years.
According to sources in the GTDC, a comprehensive report was presented to the Chief Minister about the activities initiated by the corporation during the last five years and he was apprised that GTDC was running in profit for the last five years.
Though there was cost cutting and several posts were abolished but the the corporation had managed to have vertical growth, the sources said, adding 14 activities were taken up to promote tourism in the state and they were executed successfully without any grants from the government.
The Chief Minister would most likely chair another meeting in the next four to five days wherein future plans of the corporation would be discussed, the sources added.
